Every clearing job starts with the same question: where does the material go? Hauling trees, brush and stumps off site means trucks, tipping fees and a lot of traffic through your entrance. Mulching in place keeps all of that on the property.
Our family has been clearing land for more than 40 years, and the answer almost always comes down to three things: what the ground will be used for next, how dense the stand is, and what the plan allows. If the area is headed for a building pad, stumps and heavy organics usually have to come out. If it is buffer, laydown or future green space, mulching in place is often the fastest and cheapest route.
We walk the site before we price it so we can tell you honestly which approach fits. A lot of the time it is a mix: mulch the edges and buffers, grub and remove only where the structure goes.
The goal is simple. Spend your money on the work the site actually needs, not on trucking material you could have left on the ground.
